General Information

• Q: What is Kizomba?
  • A: Kizomba is a beautiful and cultural partner dance originating from Angola. It's known for its close connection and smooth, rhythmic movements. 
• Q: I've never danced before. Is this class for me?
  • A: Absolutely! This boot camp is designed for complete beginners. No prior dance experience is necessary.
• Q: What should I wear?
  • A: Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Comfortable shoes are also essential. Avoid shoes with too much grip.
• Q: Do I need a partner?
  • A: It's not required! We'll have opportunities to rotate partners throughout the class, so everyone gets to dance.
• Q: What time does the class start and end?

  • A:

  • 18:00 - 19:00 : Basics 1 
    19:30 - 20:30 : Basics 2  
    21:00 - until: We will have a Social Dancing Party where you can put all the moves you learned into practice.  

• Q: Where is the class located?
  • A: The location of the classes will be annouced later and will be determined based on the amount of registrations.

Boot Camp Specific

• Q: What will I learn in the boot camp?
  • A: You'll learn the fundamental steps, basic rhythms, and simple combinations of Kizomba.  
• Q: Will there be breaks during the class?
  • A: Yes, we'll have scheduled breaks for water and rest. 
• Q: Are refreshments provided?
  • A: Yes. Refreshments will be on sale.  
• Q: What is the age range for participants?
  • A: Preferably children over 18.
• Q: How can I register for the class?
• • A: Registration can be done right here on this platform. However, payments will be done in cash and in person before the class. 
• Q: Who is the instructor?
  • A: The Instructor is Damien A., who has been dancing kizomba for over 10 years. He is based on St. Maarten and a part of the SXM Loves Kizomba Group. 
• Q: Will there be future Kizomba classes after this boot camp?
  • A: Depending on the interest of this bootcamp we would love to build a community and definitely provide future classes.
